This performance is the activation of the installation <Ecotone: Capacity for Escape (2022)>.
Through movement, live music and words, a story is told of a serpent that once left the river bank for water to fulfil their desire to become a sea serpent.
Navigating use of their newfound venom, the serpent learns new movements, unbounded. In this transformative space, bodies enter into contact with memories of other bodies coursing through blood, rain, rivers, and seas.
The Korean word for serpent, 뱀, is a homonym for interpermeation.

바다뱀이 되고 싶어서 땅을 떠나 물 속으로 들어간 뱀의 이야기를 움직임, 음악 live performance, 그리고 글을 통해 그린다.
이 뱀은 새로이 마주하게 된 독의 사용을 탐색하며 무한한 움직임의 가능성을 바라본다. 이 변형적 공간에서 몸들은 피, 비, 강, 바다를 통해 흘러가는 다른 몸들의 기억과 접촉한다.
‘뱀'이라는 단어는 침투 interpermeation를 뜻하는 ‘뱀'과 동음이의어이다.
